The Bridge to Professionals program is a network of specialists, experts, and
various professionals working in step with our mentors. This network
is designed to allow youth easy access to a host of professionals across multiple
fields, allowing them to explore many categories of interest. Youth who are
in the program will complete a tour with a professional at least once a month throughout
the length of their mentorship.
Q: What exactly does a professional tour look like?
A: A professional tour is a guided activity where a mentor accompanies
his/her mentee along side a professional at there place of business. The youth are
encouraged to ask questions and actively participate in discussion.
Q: How does a child become eligible to participate?
A: Once a youth is authorized for mentoring under Youthsworld, he/she is
automatically eligible to participate in the Bridge to Professionals program.
Q: What might cause a youth to be ineligible to participate in the program?
A: Youth will be barred from the program based upon non-compliance
or frequent displays of disrespectful behavior.
Q: Can this program lead to an internship or a job opportunity?
A: Any query for internships and or job opportunities would transpire outside
the scope of the program and will be discussed on a case by case basis.
